The old city walls from the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) are barely visible today in the capital city, although the imposing structures were mentioned in historical records and revered in their time.
In the ruins of buildings demolished for new construction in Changxindian of Beijing's Fengtai District, Yin has searched for the remaining relics of the city wall and loaded them carefully on a tricycle in the scorching sun.

The 55-year-old also showcases other old items relevant to Beijing's folk customs.
Beijing encouraged residents to donate bricks in 2002 when repairs were underway on part of the city wall ruins. Authorities from Fengtai said there's neither a special department nor regulation responsible for the wall bricks.
